Christian Thirion

Christan Thirion has always been captivated by the art of glass blowing.While training as a pastry chef in France, Christian traveled to Venice and Barcelona where he marveled at the sight of artists creating colorful works of art with glass.

Christians cooking brought him to the U.S. in 1979, where he enrolled in a glass blowing glass at Santa Barbara City College.This changed his life. He became a full-time glass blower, and has been one ever since.

Several publications have featured Christians work, and in 1996, he received the Niche award for Glass, an industry honor.His work can be found in over 100 galleries andprivate collections all over the world.
